About:

The Kitsap Flute Choir began in January 2024 when Sorcha Barr-Deneen and Diane Layton connected, wanting to create a new performance opportunity for their students. The idea quickly expanded to a full flute choir with 9 rehearsals and 2 performances over 5 months. Now in its 3rd season, KFC members rotate part assignments, sharing solos and auxiliary parts (piccolo or alto) to ensure everyone gets their time in the spotlight, and has formed a close-knit community of musicians and an audience that always wants more music! 

KFC rehearses every-other Friday 4:30-6:00pm at Silverdale Lutheran Church.

In Spring 2025, Diane Layton assumed leadership of KFC as Sorcha moved overseas.
